Job summary

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland in Espoo seeks an experienced Process Platforms Manager to lead Micronova’s shared pilot-line process platforms, bridging researchers, engineers, metrology and data teams to scale early-stage technologies into pilot-line capabilities.

You will own platform architecture, qualification, and design-enablement practices while coordinating across technology domains and ensuring harmonized processes and governance for technology transfer.

Qualifications

• Strong background in semiconductor process integration, advanced microfabrication, or pilot-line development.
• Demonstrated experience in process architecture, technology platform development and design enablement within semiconductor R&D or foundry environments.
• Good understanding of semiconductor process flows, process capability, qualification methodologies, quality management, and metrology.
• Experience supporting technology teams through structured platform-development activities.
• Familiarity with data-driven process development and interaction with MES, manufacturing databases, or engineering data systems.
• Hands-on experience building and qualifying Process Design Kits (PDKs) and related design-enablement infrastructure; strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Shape and advance Micronova’s shared pilot-line process platforms to meet evolving needs of microelectronics, photonics, and quantum technology development.
• Own architecture of Micronova’s common pilot-line platform including modules, qualification approaches, and governance; collaborate with researchers.
• Develop common platform practices, qualification approaches and design-enablement capabilities across Micronova.
• Serve as technical gatekeeper for platform maturity, process qualification, and PDK readiness.
• Collaborate with process engineers, designers, metrology specialists, data teams to evolve platform capabilities and data structures.

Education

MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Microelectronics or other equivalent experience
