Job summary

SemiQon is seeking a Cleanroom Process Operator in Espoo to join our fabrication team and advance quantum device manufacturing. This hands-on role emphasizes precision work in a high-tech cleanroom environment and supports afternoon fabrication activities.

You will operate equipment, follow strict process instructions, handle wafers with care, and contribute to quality checks and continuous improvement within the team; security clearance is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform semiconductor processing tasks in a cleanroom environment.
  • Operate and monitor fabrication equipment used for quantum device manufacturing.
  • Execute process flows according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Handle wafers and samples using cleanroom best practices.
  • Perform inspections, measurements, and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Document process results and maintain accurate records.
  • Support equipment upkeep, calibration checks, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Follow all cleanroom, safety, and contamination-control procedures.
  • Identify and report process deviations, equipment issues, or quality concerns.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the fabrication team.

If so, we invite you to join SemiQon's growing fabrication team as a Cleanroom Process Operator and play a hands‑on role in building the next generation of quantum devices.

Role overview
As we continue to expand our fabrication capabilities, we are looking for aCleanroom Process Operatorto join our growing team in Espoo. In this hands‑on role, you will support the fabrication of quantum devices in our semiconductor cleanroom and contribute directly to the fabrication and development of next‑generation quantum hardware.

As part of the fabrication team, this role is expected to primarily support afternoon fabrication activities. Working time (7.5h) is expected to be between 10:00 and 20:00, depending on operational needs.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys precision work, follows procedures carefully, and is excited about working in a high‑tech environment at the forefront of innovation.

As SemiQon continues to scale its fabrication activities, this role will play an important part in maintaining efficient cleanroom operations and supporting the delivery of world‑class quantum hardware.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

  • Experience working in a cleanroom, laboratory, manufacturing, technical production, or similar hands‑on environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions accurately
  • Precise handling skills and comfort working with delicate components and wafers
  • Basic computer skills and experience documenting work activities
  • A proactive and team‑oriented mindset
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Considered an advantage

  • Experience working in semiconductor manufacturing, MEMS, photonics, or microfabrication
  • Familiarity with lithography, deposition, etching, cleaning, or characterization processes
  • Experience working with process equipment and quality systems
  • Availability to work regular afternoon shifts to support fabrication activities and optimize cleanroom utilization. Worktime (7.5h) is expected to be between 10:00-20:00.
  • Previous experience working in Micronova cleanroom facilities or other advanced semiconductor fabrication environments

*Security clearance vetting is required for this position.
