Job summary

The University of Oulu invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in the LET Lab to design and evaluate AI-supported technologies that promote regulation of learning in collaborative contexts. You will lead Python-based development and study deployment within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

PhD in HCI, CS, digital design, learning sciences or related field.
Strong understanding of learning theories.
Experience with data collection, qualitative coding and analysis.
Experience with theory-driven quantitative analysis (R/SPSS, Python).
Experience with Python development and cloud-based HPC; Praat/NVivo/Observer a plus.

Responsibilities

Understand existing agent architecture for regulation in collaborative learning (backend, speech processing pipeline, data flow).
Plan Python-based implementation of the agent architecture and workplan if needed.
Evaluate infrastructure options to fit evolving project needs for researchers.
Document system design and choices for a non-technical audience.
Collaborate with the team to align technical development with study goals.
