Job summary

QOCO Systems is seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering to lead the platform capability and guide the company’s infrastructure strategy. You will report to the CTO and shape the technical direction of a fast-growing aviation SaaS provider.

You will own the foundations on which all products are built, and drive reliability, security and scalable architecture while growing a high-performing, globally distributed engineering team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering, leading teams
• Strong people leadership and coaching abilities
• Proven ability to hire, develop talent and drive accountability
• Cloud-native and platform engineering expertise in SaaS environments
• Track record of building scalable platforms and improving reliability (SRE)
• Security-by-design mindset and operational excellence
• Experience with FinOps and commercial awareness
• Fluent in English, written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap for cloud infrastructure, reliability, observability, security and AI platform foundations
• Lead two teams: Infrastructure and Customer Integrations, guiding delivery projects
• Manage operations and outcomes of the Infrastructure team
• Define and defend reliability KPIs and drive improvement
• Line manage engineers across delivery projects and allocate resources
• Hire, grow and develop capabilities of both teams
• Balance long-term platform strategy with hands-on delivery
