Job summary

VibeIQ Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Platform team. You will work across the full development lifecycle, building and maintaining shared infrastructure, core services, and tooling that our product teams rely on every day.

The Platform team owns engineering foundations, platform services, and AI infrastructure to support fast, reliable product delivery. You’ll operate with significant autonomy, own ambiguous problems end-to-end, and shape the engineering trajectory across

Qualifications

5+ years of backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
Deep hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, OpenSearch, IAM).
Experience designing and maintaining scalable distributed backend systems (Node.js and TypeScript preferred).
Strong understanding of security and authentication patterns in cloud-native environments.
Experience with monitoring, observability, and operational tooling for production systems.
Demonstrated ability to own ambiguous technical problems and drive solutions independently.
Cross-functional collaboration across platform, product, and leadership teams.
Excellent technical writing for design docs and runbooks.
Startup mentality: ownership, fast iteration, multi-hat capability.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain core platform services and infrastructure (search, file management, identity, workspaces).
Own major components and multi-month initiatives end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
Build and maintain AWS infrastructure focused on reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Define and enforce service patterns, best practices, and engineering standards.
Own and evolve security and authentication systems and observability across the stack.
steward SDKs, ensuring design, documentation, and maintainability.
Design and build AI infrastructure including MCP patterns and token management.
Collaborate across teams to identify platform needs and reduce friction.
Contribute to technical strategy and build-vs-buy evaluations.
Debug and resolve production issues across distributed systems.
Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
