Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager leading and growing a team.
• 5+ years in backend, infrastructure, platform engineering, or related fields.
• Ability to turn platform vision into clear priorities and pragmatic execution plans.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, product, platform).
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and building a high-performing team culture.
• Experience with distributed systems and runtime platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers with clear execution habits and a healthy culture.
• Own the team's roadmap and delivery for performance, scaling, I/O, integrations, and observability.
• Collaborate with adjacent platform teams and product domains to drive adoption of platform capabilities.
• Guide architectural decisions for the runtime and developer-facing APIs balancing reliability and extensibility.
• Raise the bar on operational excellence: reliability, debuggability and support for production workloads.
• Shape the next phase of the Computing Platform through hiring, prioritization, and cross-team alignment.
