Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Engineering, Optics, or a comparable degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in optics, lithography, micro- and nanostructures, or cleanroom processes.
• A proactive, systematic, and solution-oriented approach to work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across teams.
• Technology-, customer-, and results-oriented mindset with ownership to drive projects forward.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel when required.
• Availability to work on-site in the Joensuu area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve engineering processes for microstructure fabrication, including laser lithography, electroforming tooling, and UV imprinting.
• Take ownership of technical engineering details and support internal and external projects.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and Project Managers on engineering-related activities.
• Support customer communication in cooperation with sales and project teams.
• Identify development opportunities, prepare proposals for internal engineering projects, and lead their implementation.
