Job summary

Safera Oy in Espoo is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to lead mechanical design for innovative electronic devices and optical sensor systems. You will transform concepts into mass‑manufacturable products and work with cross‑functional teams in a compact, dynamic environment.

You will own end‑to‑end mechanical engineering, design injection‑molded components, integrate optics, sensors and LEDs, and apply thermal management simulations to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of injection-molded plastic design for small, complex products.
• Good understanding of fluid dynamics (CFD) and airflow simulation.
• Strong capability for self-coordination and taking full ownership of projects.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end mechanical engineering from initial concept design to final production support.
• Designing small, highly complex injection-molded plastic components.
• Integrating optics, sensors, and LEDs into compact device frames.
• Utilizing airflow and thermal management simulations to optimize product performance and reliability.
• Taking full ownership of the mechanical design department and self-coordinating your daily work.
