Job summary

Leap29 is seeking BIM Engineers to support data centre projects in the Helsinki region. The roles involve coordinating mechanical BIM models (HVAC and ductwork) using Revit, and using Navisworks for clash detection.

On-site presence in Finland is required as projects progress through delivery. We expect experience in BIM coordination within construction environments and a data centre background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as BIM Engineer, BIM Coordinator or Mechanical BIM Engineer.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks.
• Experience with HVAC, ductwork or mechanical building services.
• Experience in construction/project delivery environments.
• Ability to coordinate with engineering, construction and BIM disciplines.
• Data centre experience preferred.
• Comfortable with on-site, project-based work in Finland.

BIM Engineer – Data Centre

Helsinki, Finland

Contract/Freelance - 12 Months

Opportunity for permanant employment after 12 months

Leap29 is supporting a mechanical contractor delivering multiple upcoming data centre projects across the Helsinki region. We are looking for 2 BIM Engineers to join the team on an ASAP basis.

The position will support the delivery and coordination of mechanical building services, with a particular focus on HVAC and ductwork systems within a data centre environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain coordinated mechanical BIM models using Autodesk Revit
• Use Navisworks to support multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection
• Coordinate HVAC and ductwork models with other project disciplines
• Review model information and identify potential clashes or constructability issues
• Work closely with project, engineering and site teams throughout delivery
• Incorporate design and coordination changes into BIM models
• Support the production and coordination of drawings and model information required by the project
• Attend BIM/coordination meetings and communicate outstanding issues to the relevant project teams
• Help ensure models and drawings remain coordinated as the project progresses through construction

Requirements

• Previous experience as a BIM Engineer, BIM Coordinator or Mechanical BIM Engineer
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks
• Experience working with HVAC, ductwork or mechanical building services
• Previous experience within construction/project delivery environments
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, construction and other BIM disciplines
• Data centre experience is preferred
• Comfortable working on-site/project-based assignments in Finland
