Job summary

Manpower is seeking an experienced BMS Project Manager to lead datacenter building automation projects across the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. You will drive delivery, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure on-time, on-budget completion with safety and quality as top priorities.

The role involves procurement, risk management, and client liaison, with the option of fixed-term employment or contractor engagement. Immediate start for ~12 months.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in construction or automation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in datacenter construction or building automation is a plus.
• Knowledge of contracts and project controls is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of building automation projects across multiple datacenter sites.

Job description

We are recruiting experienced BMS Project Manager for datacenter projects in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of building automation projects across multiple datacenter construction sites. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in high-profile critical infrastructure projects within a growing and technically demanding industry. The assignment starts ASAP and is expected to continue for approximately 12 months. The successful candidate can be employed under a fixed-term employment contract or engaged through a contractor agreement, depending on their situation and preferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of building automation projects across multiple datacenter construction sites
• Manage project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and risk management plans

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of project management experience within construction, building services, automation, or related industries
• Demonstrated success managing complex, multidisciplinary projects
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, project controls, and safety legislation
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and P&L responsibility
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Good written and spoken English communication skills
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel between project sites within the Helsinki Metropolitan Area
• Valid right to work in Finland
• Valid Occupational Safety Card and Electrical Safety Card
• Previous experience in datacenter construction projects will be considered a strong advantage. We also value building automation (BMS) knowledge and experience with platforms such as Metasys, EasyIO, Tridium Niagara, Trend, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or similar systems. Experience managing large-scale projects, working in regulated environments, and proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera will further support success in this role.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certifications, as well as a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Automation, or a related field, are considered advantageous.

Details

The position is based in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area across multiple datacenter construction sites. The assignment starts ASAP and will last approximately 12 months. Working hours are between Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
