Job summary

Stelfox Tech Recruitment is seeking a senior Mechanical/Project Manager for data centre projects in Finland. You will liaise with clients in Finland, Dublin and the UK and take ownership from design through to commissioning.

You will lead HVAC deliverables, prepare method statements and risk assessments, coordinate pipework sequencing, manage procurement and subcontractors, and ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery with strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant Mechanical Qualification essential.
• Data Centre experience is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role within Mechanical and Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and all HVAC-related project deliverables.
• Coordinate with the project team to sequence pipework installations and ensure delivery against project schedules.
• Take commercial ownership from handover by the estimating team through to procurement of equipment and subcontractors.
• Support the documentation and costing of scope changes, including monthly valuations and final accounts.
• Manage and monitor the project schedule, including a two-week look-ahead plan.
• Ensure labour resources are planned and maintained in line with project programme requirements.
• Identify, manage, and ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements, including Health & Safety.

Our client specialises in providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning in a Data Center!

Qualifications/Education:

Relevant Mechanical Qualification essential - B. Eng Degree, City & Guilds Certificate, HNC/BTEC or NVQ

Previous experience in a similar role, within a Mechanical and Electrical

Data Centre experience is advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain effective communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and all HVAC-related project deliverables, ensuring compliance with project, quality, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with the project team to sequence pipework installations and ensure delivery against project schedules.
• Take commercial ownership of projects from handover by the estimating team through to the procurement of equipment, specialist subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Support the documentation and costing of scope changes, including the preparation of monthly valuations and final accounts.

• Ensure labour resources are planned and maintained in line with project programme requirements.
• Identify, manage, and ensure compliance with all governance and regulatory requirements, including:
• Promoting and enforcing Health & Safety standards on site, ensuring all subcontractors operate safely at all times.
• Reviewing work practices and implementing improvements where possible to enhance site safety.
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards across the site and ensuring subcontractor compliance.

Requirements

• Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience preparing method statements and risk assessments for construction activities.
• Proven ability to coordinate installation activities and deliver projects to schedule.
• Commercial awareness, including procurement, subcontractor management, and cost control.
• Experience supporting variations, valuations, and final account processes.
• Ability to manage project schedules and short-term planning activities.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and site compliance requirements.
• Ability to lead and coordinate subcontractors while maintaining high operational and housekeeping standards.
