Job summary

Leap29 is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support data centre projects in the Helsinki region, Finland. The role focuses on QA/QC across HVAC and ductwork within mechanical building services on-site.

Two positions are available for an ASAP start, with a 3 weeks on/1 week off rotation pattern and potential permanent employment after 12 months. Flights and accommodation can be provided where required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a QA/QC Engineer in construction/project delivery environments.
• Strong experience with HVAC, ductwork or mechanical building services.
• Experience reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications and quality documentation.
• Comfortable working directly with construction and site teams.
• Data centre experience is preferred.
• Comfortable working on-site in Finland.

Responsibilities

• Carry out QA/QC activities across mechanical works throughout construction
• Inspect HVAC, ductwork and related installations against drawings, specs and quality requirements
• Review and maintain quality documentation and inspection records
• Identify and record non-conformances and support corrective actions through to close-out
• Work closely with project, engineering and site teams to resolve quality issues
• Coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams to ensure installations meet quality requirements
• Support inspections, mechanical completion and handover activities
• Maintain accurate quality records throughout project delivery
• Help ensure mechanical works meet project standards

QA/QC Engineer – Data Centre

Contract/Freelance - 12 Months

Opportunity for permanent employment after 12 months

Leap29 is supporting a mechanical contractor delivering multiple upcoming data centre projects across the Helsinki region. We are looking for 2 QA/QC Engineers to join the team on an ASAP basis.

The position will support quality assurance and quality control across mechanical building services, with a particular focus on HVAC and ductwork systems within a data centre environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out QA/QC activities across mechanical works throughout construction
• Inspect HVAC, ductwork and associated mechanical installations against project drawings, specifications and quality requirements
• Review and maintain quality documentation and inspection records
• Identify and record non-conformances and support corrective actions through to close-out
• Work closely with project, engineering and site teams to resolve quality issues
• Coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams to ensure installations meet project quality requirements
• Support inspections, mechanical completion and handover activities
• Maintain accurate quality records throughout project delivery
• Help ensure mechanical works are completed in accordance with the required project standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as a QA/QC Engineer, Mechanical QA/QC Engineer or Quality Engineer
• Strong experience working with HVAC, ductwork or mechanical building services
• Previous QA/QC experience within construction/project delivery environmentsExperience reviewing mechanical drawings, specifications and quality documentation
• Comfortable working directly with construction and site teams
• Data centre experience is preferred
• Comfortable working on-site/project-based assignments in Finland
