Job summary

Outokumpu is seeking an IT Application Specialist to support and develop business-critical applications in a manufacturing environment. You will ensure safe, stable and efficient services, manage lifecycle of applications, and work with IT, OT, vendors and business stakeholders to drive improvements.

Ideal candidates have a B.Sc. in Information Systems or equivalent, several years in IT application support, and experience with ERP/MES systems, databases, and basic programming.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Information Systems or equivalent industry experience.
• Several years of experience in IT application support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP and/or MES systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, stable and efficient application services for the site(s) in scope.
• Manage the lifecycle of software applications including implementation, maintenance, upgrades and retirement.
• Support end-users, resolve incidents and maintain documentation in ITSM tools.
• Configure and customize applications to meet manufacturing business needs.
• Collaborate with IT, OT, vendors and stakeholders for data flows and integrations.
• Support application testing, deployment and validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and application functionality.
• Provide training and guidance to users on features and best practices.
