Job summary

Outokumpu is seeking a Specialist, Application Security to help secure our application landscape across development, procurement, deployment and maintenance. You will promote secure-by-design and secure-by-default practices enabling business innovation and resilience.

You will drive secure SDLC adoption, provide expert guidance to project teams, and collaborate in a global environment with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation. Hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, CS, SWE, Cyber Security or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cyber security, application development, software engineering or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of SSDLC, OWASP Top 10, app security testing, secure coding, threat modelling, API security, IAM and DevSecOps.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures preferred; manufacturing/industrial environments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application security standards, requirements and best practices.
• Ensure security requirements are integrated into application development and procurement processes.
• Establish and promote secure software development lifecycle practices.
• Support integration of security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive adoption of DevSecOps principles across development teams.
• Provide expert guidance to project teams and application owners.
• Increase awareness of application security risks and best practices.
