Job summary

insightsoftware is seeking a part-time Junior Controller for Finland, within the EMEA region, reporting to the Director of EMEA & APAC Accounting & Integrations. The role focuses on compliance, statutory reporting, VAT filings, and in-country financial controls.

You will collaborate with the Finland team and our India-based SSG for audits, maintain accurate ledgers, and support treasury and P2P processes. The salary range is 40,000 to 50,000 EUR annually, with base pay and potential bonus

Qualifications

• Experienced accountant with knowledge of treasury, banking and P2P in Finland.
• Ability to communicate freely in English and Finnish, written and verbal.
• Willingness to go beyond day-to-day tasks to unlock challenges.
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory financial statements and VAT filings.

The Junior Controller (Finland) - EMEA is responsible for compliance and operational accounting activities of the Insightsoftware EMEA entities notably in Finland, but may extend to other Nordics/EU countries where required. This role reports into the Director of EMEA & APAC Accounting & Integrations who is based in London. Ideally the candidate should reside in Helsinki and have the capacity to be entrusted with full compliance review and undertaking of our Finnish entity, and will potentially extend to a few other EU entities.

insightsoftware is looking for an experienced operational accountant to be a key member in the regional Accounting team, taking ownership of local compliance matters for this fast-growing financial technology company headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. The successful candidate will possess good attention to details and excellent communication / interpersonal skills.

What would you do?

• Execute and ensure that the control environments are accurate and in compliance with local accounting standards and reporting requirements
• Responsible for the statutory financial statements and other compliance requirements in-country such as VAT compilations, government IDs and filings etc.
• Liaise with business owners to ensure that processes and deadlines are clearly understood and met
• Coordinate with our SSG India team to prepare audit schedules for local statutory audits
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis support to the Finance team and business as the need arises
• Collaborate to support transition of Treasury function and P2P accounting processes with collaboration with our SSG team based in India
• Other ad hoc and administrative duties pertaining to the execution of compliance matters

• Organization and Planning – Plan, organize and execute statutory and compliance related activities in an efficient, productive manner with focus on key priorities to ensure on time delivery of all statutory reporting requirements
• Drive and Discipline – Operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on getting the job done with clear and logical documentation of technical accounting decisions
• Enthusiasm – Exhibit passion and excitement and embrace a can-do attitude
• Communication - Fluent in both Finnish and English language, ability to communicate both written and verbal

Qualifications

• Experienced accountant with good knowledge of Treasury/ banking/ P2P process in Finland
• Ability to communicate freely verbally and in writing in both English and Finnish
• Demonstrate willingness to go beyond day to day tasks to unlock challenges and open up opportunities per insightsoftware needs
• Experience with NetSuite(desired but not a must)

Salary range noted below is based on full time hours. This is a part time role

The salary range in Finland for this position is 40,000.00 to 50,000.00 EUR Annual.

For sales roles, this range includes the commission target. For non-sales roles, this is a base salary only range; additional bonus eligibility may apply.
