Job summary

RELEX Solutions in Helsinki is seeking a Junior Controller to join the Revenue Controlling team. You will own revenue recognition for SaaS and professional services, perform contract analytics, and support internal and external reporting with a focus on compliant controls.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in accounting/finance, 2–3 years in a similar role, strong Excel and Netsuite familiarity, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 2–3 years of professional work experience in a comparable role (controller, bookkeeper, auditor).
• IFRS 15 revenue recognition knowledge is considered a significant advantage.
• Service- and solution-oriented attitude with drive to solve challenges in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with strong team support.
• Fluent in English with strong written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; Netsuite knowledge is advantageous.

As a Junior Controller you will join our Revenue Controlling team in Helsinki. The team consists of a controller and the team lead, with their main responsibility for the revenue recognition for the Group, and sales-related compensation ensuring compliance with both internal and external financial regulations. The team owns and actively develops the revenue and commission processes, systems with automation and AI, and stakeholder collaboration, to support robust financial management and partnering with RELEX’s business. The role is fixed-term, covering a parental leave.

• Sharing ownership of the revenue recognition process in SaaS and professional services
• Financial analysis of customer contracts
• Internal and external reporting
• Executing and developing controls, assisting with audit process
• Working in close relation with group reporting and business control team on different reporting assignments
• Cooperating in development projects related to SaaS and professional services revenue management

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Relevant studies / Master’s degree (e.g., accounting, finance)
• At least 2-3 years of professional work experience in a comparable role, like controller, bookkeeper, auditor
• Good knowledge of financial processes and accounting and reporting principles, IFRS 15 revenue recognition knowledge is considered a significant advantage
• You have a service- and solution-oriented attitude and drive to solve any challenges in great collaboration with the stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and under pressure, but with great support from knowledgeable team members.
• Fluency with IT systems: ability to learn new tools and software quickly, good skills in MS Excel. Working knowledge of Netsuite is an advantage.
• You are fluent in English and have great written communication skills.
