Job summary

Metso is seeking a Head of AI Engineering in Espoo to lead a globally distributed AI engineering team within the AI Transformation Office. You will drive engineering excellence, mentor junior and senior engineers, and ensure delivery of AI solutions across enterprise initiatives.

With a cloud-first stack and strong collaboration with Data & Analytics and IT, you will shape responsible AI practices while prioritizing speed, quality and governance. Hybrid work options supported.

Qualifications

Proven people-first technical leadership.
Experience recruiting and developing technical talent.
Background in delivering production software.
Practical understanding of AI-centric software development.
Experience establishing engineering practices balancing speed with quality.
Experience with forward-deployed or business-embedded engineering.

Responsibilities

Build and lead a globally distributed AI engineering team.
Develop engineers and technical leads through mentoring and assignments.
