Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to drive AI initiatives from Tampere or Turku, Finland. You will own end-to-end AI solutions, shape platforms and delivery models, and lead complex cross-functional work with stakeholders across the business.

You will design, build, deploy, and maintain AI/ML solutions across the full lifecycle, leveraging Azure and Databricks, while mentoring teams and advancing enterprise-scale AI adoption in a hands-on, production-ready environment.

Qualifications

• More than eight years of AI/ML and software engineering experience with production-grade solutions.
• Master's degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Strong ownership of end-to-end AI delivery from architecture to operations.
• Clear communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI/ML solutions across the full lifecycle.
• Lead end-to-end AI architecture and collaborate with stakeholders and vendors.
• Mentor teams and accelerate enterprise-scale AI adoption.
• Ensure security, maintainability and production readiness of solutions.
