Job summary

Qt Group in Espoo, Finland, is seeking a Senior Lead - Developer Community Growth to shape Qt's GTM motion by prioritizing communities, setting retention baselines, and running programs with cross-functional partners. You will lead virtual teams across Marketing, UX/Product, R&D and Customer Engineering to remove friction in the developer journey and drive a growing, engaged community.

Qualifications

5+ years in developer relations, community management, or developer marketing, ideally within open source.
2+ years managing project teams — both project management and management of individual contributors.
Technical fluency across C++/QML; familiarity with Python, Rust, C#, TS/JS, React to earn credibility with developers.

Responsibilities

Define community strategy as part of Qt's GTM motion.
Identify and prioritize developer communities to grow regionally and globally; reach new communities like Python, Rust, C#, or other languages.
Set baselines and KPIs for retention and expansion; track progress and report.
Lead and coach a virtual team of internal and external contributors; manage goals and performance.
Own end-to-end programs — forums, ambassador/contributor programs, university partnerships, content and events.
Identify blockers in the developer journey and partner with Marketing, UX/Product, R&D, and Customer Engineering to resolve them.
