Job summary

Academic Work Finland Oy is seeking a focused engineer to work at the intersection of power electronics and electrical grid technology in Tampere. You will join a niche NPI team focusing on simulation and validation of advanced grid solutions with Real-Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) hardware.

You will perform HIL experiments, manage RTDS hardware, and build test benches using Matlab & Simulink. This office-based role requires hands-on lab work and close collaboration with design engineers to

Qualifications

• MSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of control theory as it relates to grid interfacing.

Responsibilities

• Run and design Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations.
• Manage and develop RTDS hardware setups.
• Use Matlab & Simulink for simulation and building test benches.
• Analyze fault situations and system performance in a high-voltage grid context.
• Collaborate with design engineers to validate control systems.
