Job summary
Ubique Systems in Finland is seeking a Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer with expertise in dynamic simulation across grid connection and compliance projects. You will lead studies using PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, and PSS/E, and deliver end-to-end grid code compliance work.
The role includes developing user-defined dynamic models (generators, converters, BESS, HVDC/FACTS), supporting black-start and harmonic studies, coordinating with client stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers
Qualifications
- 5+ years in power system studies and modeling.
- Proficiency in PSSE, PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP.
- Strong MATLAB and/or Python for automation.
- Knowledge of transmission and distribution planning.
- Fluent in English; Finnish or Swedish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead dynamic/transient simulation studies for grid connection and compliance.
- Own end-to-end delivery of grid code compliance studies.
- Develop and maintain dynamic models (generators, converters, BESS, HVDC/FACTS).
- Support black-start, islanding, and power quality studies.
- Act as technical point of contact for client stakeholders.
- Review models/reports and enforce quality standards across the team.
- Contribute to model library and templates; support RFQ proposals.
- Mentor junior engineers on dynamic simulation best practices.
