Job summary

BD Helsinki is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and repair advanced instrumentation across Finland and the Nordic region. The role combines hands-on technical work with strong customer service, requiring travel and a readiness to work in regulated environments.

Candidates should be based in the Helsinki area, fluent in English and Finnish, with an engineering background and a willingness to travel with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• An engineering degree or proven experience in field service engineering.
• Experience in corrective and preventive maintenance of advanced, complex technical systems.
• Fluency in English and in Finnish.
• Adaptability to work with diverse product ranges and stay updated on new technologies.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Competence in IT, a valid driver's license and commitment to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide field-based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, installation, relocation, repairs and corrective field change orders on COR instrumentation.
• Diagnose electrical, fluidic, mechanical, hardware, software and using established procedures and techniques.
• Determine the most efficient repair/solution to ensure minimum downtime.
• Perform instrument certifications (IQ/OQ).
• Actively manage your car stock, ensuring all vital spare parts and tools are available.
• Effective management of technical escalations.
• Cover Finland with occasional travel throughout the Nordic area.
