Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Finland, preferably near Helsinki, to install, maintain and troubleshoot advanced instrumentation while traveling across Nordic countries.

You will provide hands-on, customer‑facing service, perform preventative maintenance, and manage spare parts with a focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring service excellence.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or proven field service experience.
• Experience in corrective and preventive maintenance of advanced systems.
• Fluency in English and Finnish.
• Adaptability to work with diverse product ranges and stay updated on new technologies.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• IT competence, valid driver's license and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Provide field-based and remote technical support to customers and colleagues.
• Carry out preventative maintenance, installation, relocation, repairs and corrective field change orders on COR instrumentation.
• Diagnose electrical, fluidic, mechanical, hardware, software and using established procedures and techniques.
• Determine the most efficient repair/solution to ensure minimum downtime.
• Perform instrument certifications (IQ/OQ).
• Actively manage your car stock, ensuring all vital spare parts and tools are available.
• Effective management of technical escalations.
• Cover Finland with occasional travel throughout the Nordic area.

Job Description

Join our Field Service team in Finland as a Field Service Engineer, supporting some of the most advanced systems in our portfolio. To ensure efficient customer support, candidates should be based in the Helsinki area with convenient access to Helsinki Airport, as several service activities are concentrated in the Helsinki region. The remaining work requires extensive travel throughout Finland and other Nordic countries, with frequent overnight stays.

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing sophisticated instrumentation used by our customers. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role that combines technical expertise with problem‑solving and service excellence.
