Job summary

Metsä Group is hiring a Data Engineer to join the Digital & AI function in Espoo, Finland. You will build and evolve an Azure Databricks-based data platform and AI-ready data foundations, designing scalable pipelines and data products for analytics and AI across Metsä Group.

You will work with stakeholders, Architects and AI developers to deliver maintainable, secure data solutions across the Raw, Harmonized and Business Layers.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience in data engineering on cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong practical experience with Azure Databricks and related Azure data technologies.
• Experience designing and implementing data models and reusable data products for analytics and AI.
• Ability to translate business requirements into maintainable data solutions.
• Experience with data integration pipelines and data quality considerations.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop Metsä Group’s Azure Databricks-based data platform.
• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models.
• Create reusable data products for analytics, reporting and AI.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to ensure data is secure and usable.
• Contribute to engineering practices and DevOps workflows in data engineering.
