Job summary

If is a leading Nordic insurer delivering CRM and marketing solutions. The Data Engineering Lead will build and mentor a distributed data engineering team across the Nordics, delivering trusted Azure Databricks data products and lakehouse services.

The role blends technical leadership with people management, driving data quality, governance, and scalable pipelines while fostering a culture of continuous learning in an Agile/DevOps environment.

Qualifications

• Several years of practical experience in end-to-end data engineering.
• Experience in a lead role within a large-scale cloud environment.
• Ability to coach and mentor data engineers.
• Fluency in English.
• University degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a distributed team of data engineers across the Nordic countries and Latvia.
• Support the professional growth, engagement, and development of chapter members.
• Set high standards for data ownership, quality, reliability, and delivery.
• Foster a collaborative, learning-oriented engineering culture.
• Drive standardization, modular design, and cost-efficient data products.
• Coach engineers in Azure Databricks and CI/CD practices.
