Job summary

If Insurance in Espoo, Finland is seeking a Data Engineering Lead to coach, lead, and mentor data engineers while delivering reliable data products on Azure Databricks. You will grow the MarTech Data Engineering Team, drive engineering excellence, and partner with stakeholders for scalable data solutions.

The role combines technical leadership with people leadership, focusing on data governance, CI/CD, and production-grade lakehouse services in a cloud environment across the Nordics and Baltics.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end data engineering and cloud environments.
• Ability to lead and mentor data engineers across multiple regions.
• Strong understanding of data ownership, quality, reliability and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a distributed data engineering team across the Nordics and Latvia.
• Support growth, engagement, and development of chapter members.
• Set high standards for data ownership, quality and production readiness.
• Foster an engineering culture focused on collaboration, learning, and best practices.
• Coach engineers in Azure Databricks and data product delivery.
