Job summary

Metsä Group in Espoo, Finland, seeks an Analytics Developer to design, develop and maintain Power BI solutions that support data-driven decision making across the organization.

You will transform business requirements into governed semantic models, DAX calculations and dashboards while aligning with architecture, security and governance practices. You will collaborate with stakeholders and IT to advance AI-enabled analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Power BI development, semantic modelling, DAX and data visualization including dimensional modelling and star schema design.
• Good understanding of data preparation, data architecture, information security and analytical requirements.
• Ability to evaluate which parts of the solution belong to which data-architecture layer, based on best practices.
• Experience with controlled development, testing, deployment and lifecycle practices.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools to accelerate analytics development and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Power BI solutions with semantic models, DAX and visualizations.
• Ensure solutions comply with Metsä Group architecture, security, governance and UX standards.
• Optimize performance of semantic models, reports and data refreshes for maintainable analytics.
• Collaborate with Solution Owners, Data Engineers and IT partners to deliver analytics.
• Lead, review and guide external partners and contribute to BI practice improvements.
