Job summary

Keski-Suomen hyvinvointialue is seeking a practical nurse for a fixed-term position at the Piippuranta group home in Jyväskylä. The role supports elderly residents requiring 24-hour residential services and care for memory-impaired and mentally ill clients.

Three-shift work, orientation, and integration with an experienced team are provided. Salary is €2,634.51 per month plus a seniority top-up of 3% after 5 years and 8% after 10 years, with favorable public sector terms including vacation days

Qualifications

• Degree as a practical nurse or equivalent vocational qualification.
• Registration in the central register of professionals (Social Care/Healthcare).
• Up-to-date medication administration skills or completion at start of employment.
• Experience caring for memory-impaired and mentally ill clients.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical nursing care for elderly residents in a group home.
• Participate in 24-hour residential care and activities.
• Collaborate with registered nurses, instructor, occupational therapist and service manager.
• Follow medication plans and maintain appropriate records.
