Job summary

atNorth is seeking a Project Engineer/Commercial Manager to oversee financial and contractual aspects of development projects. You will ensure budgeted costs, procurement alignment, and rigorous contract management across international data center initiatives.

The role requires a commercially driven professional with 5+ years of experience in large-scale projects, fluent English and Finnish, and a proactive, analytical mindset to maximise profitability and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial management, preferably in construction or infrastructure; large scale projects.
• Proven track record in managing contracts, claims and variations.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish; strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budget preparation and financial oversight for data centre infrastructure projects.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure compliance across development phases.
• Lead claims management, variations, and processing of payment applications.
• Collaborate with procurement, project management, and construction teams.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project costs and supplier agreements to drive cost optimisation.
• Provide commercial leadership and financial discipline to maximise profitability.
• Drive commercial discussions and align all agreements with strategic goals.
