atNorth, a leading Nordic data center company, invites a Senior Project Controller/Commercial Manager to Helsinki to supervise financials and contracts for development projects.

You will lead budget prep, cost control, and procurement processes while ensuring contractual compliance across phases. The role requires strong negotiation skills and a track record with large-scale infrastructure projects in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial management, preferably in construction or infrastructure; large scale projects.
• Strong expertise in budget preparation, cost control, and procurement processes with projects.
• Proven track record in managing complex contracts, claims, and variations.
• Analytical and meticulous mindset with an independent approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proactive, diplomatic style.
• Resilience under pressure and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English, Finnish skills being very much appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budget preparation and financial oversight for data center infrastructure projects.
• Manage contract negotiations and ensure compliance across all development phases.
• Lead claims management, variations, and the processing of payment applications.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, project management, and construction teams.
• Proactively identify financial risks and implement robust mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project costs and supplier agreements to drive cost optimization.
• Provide commercial leadership and financial discipline to maximize project profitability.
• Drive commercial discussions and ensure all agreements align with atNorth’s strategic goals.
