Job summary

Arctic GM is seeking a reliable Car Manager to oversee company vehicles, keeping them safe, clean, and ready for tours in Lapland. You will collaborate with guides to ensure the right vehicle is available in good condition when needed.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, maintenance coordination, GPS tracking installation, and assisting guides with on-tour vehicle issues. Experience in fleet management is a plus; outdoor work in diverse weather is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for the company’s vehicles.
• Regularly check vehicle condition, safety, cleanliness, and maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for tours and ensure readiness.
• Coordinate vehicles between guides according to tour schedules.
• Install and maintain GPS tracking systems in vehicles.
• Track maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Identify and report mechanical or technical problems.
• Coordinate servicing, repairs and tire changes.
• Assist guides with vehicle issues during tours.
• Respond to and assist with vehicle emergencies when needed.
• Ensure vehicles are prepared for different tours and conditions.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Car Manager to join our team!

As our Car Manager, you will be responsible for keeping our company vehicles safe, clean, well-maintained, and ready for tours. You will work closely with our guides and make sure the right vehicle is available and in good condition when needed.

Tasks

• Manage and take care of the company’s vehicles
• Regularly check vehicle condition, safety, cleanliness, and general maintenance
• Prepare vehicles for tours and ensure they are ready for use
• Arrange and coordinate vehicles between guides according to tour schedules
• Install and maintain GPS tracking systems in vehicles
• Keep track of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and necessary repairs
• Identify and report mechanical or technical problems
• Coordinate servicing, repairs, tire changes, and other vehicle-related needs
• Assist guides with vehicle-related issues during tours
• Respond to and rescue vehicles in emergency situations when needed
• Ensure vehicles are properly equipped and prepared for different tours and conditions

Requirements

• Has good knowledge of cars and basic vehicle maintenance
• Is responsible, practical, and well-organized
• Has a valid driving licence
• Can work independently and make quick decisions in emergency situations
• Is flexible and available when unexpected vehicle problems occur
• Has good communication skills and enjoys working with a team
• Is comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions
• Previous experience with fleet management or similar work is an advantage
