Job summary

Arctic GM & Sonka Resort | The Original Aurora Hunters® is seeking a reliable Car Manager to maintain company vehicles and ensure they are ready for Aurora tours. You will collaborate with guides to allocate the right vehicle and keep it in optimal condition.

Applicants should be hands-on, organized, and able to work outdoors in Lapland’s winter conditions. A valid driving licence and fleet experience are preferred. Seasonal accommodation and a supportive team await.

Qualifications

• Has good knowledge of cars and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Is responsible, practical, and well-organized.
• Has a valid driving licence.
• Can work independently and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
• Is flexible and available when unexpected vehicle problems occur.
• Has good communication skills and enjoys working with a team.
• Is comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions.
• Previous experience with fleet management or similar work is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and take care of the company’s vehicles.
• Regularly check vehicle condition, safety, cleanliness, and general maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for tours and ensure they are ready for use.
• Arrange and coordinate vehicles between guides according to tour schedules.
• Install and maintain GPS tracking systems in vehicles.
• Keep track of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and necessary repairs.
• Identify and report mechanical or technical problems.
• Coordinate servicing, repairs, tire changes, and other vehicle-related needs.
• Assist guides with vehicle-related issues during tours.
• Respond to and rescue vehicles in emergency situations when needed.
• Ensure vehicles are properly equipped and prepared for different tours and conditions.
