Job summary

Helsinki Shipyard etsii Business Analyst -n rooliin aloittelevaa ammattilaista tukemaan strategista ohjausta ja liiketoiminnan kehitystä. Tehtävässä muunnellaan monimutkaista dataa johdolle päätöksentekoa varten ja tuetaan strategioiden toteuttamista. Tutkinto: Master’s, kokemus strategiasta/BI:stä tai rahoituksesta katsotaan eduksi; sujuva suomi ja englanti, sekä vahvat Excel/Power BI -taidot.

Qualifications

• Aiempi kokemus strategiasta, BI:stä, taloudellisista analyyseistä tai konsultoinnista.
• Master’s- tai vastaava tutkinto liiketoiminnan, tekoä, tekniikan tai rahoituksen alalta.
• Sujuva suomi ja englanti sekä MS Office -taidot, erityisesti Excel/Power BI.

• The Business Analyst will support strategic steering and business development for Davie Finland by transforming complex data into actionable insights for top management.
• Responsibilities include contributing to the annual strategy process, delivering decision-ready financial and risk analyses, translating strategy into concrete actions, and driving cross-functional alignment.
• The role suits an early-career professional with a Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering or Finance, experience in Strategy/BI/Finance/Consulting, fluent Finnish and English, and strong Excel and Power BI skills.
• The position offers a hybrid work model with a minimum of three days per week in the Helsinki office, requires security clearance and a routine medical/drug test, and applications must be submitted via TalentAdore by 1 September 2026.

Since 1865, we have been designing, building, and commissioning tailor-made, high-class passenger vessels and icebreakers for extreme conditions. We proudly continue the legacy of Helsinki’s own Shipyard, right in the heart of Helsinki.

With us, you get to design and build the ships under one roof from start to finish, in close collaboration with our customers. Our specialty lies in vessels that operate on the polar seas, but we can build everything from smaller yachts to complex multi-purpose icebreakers. We've built over 50% of the world's icebreakers - without us it would be hard to navigate in the icy seas!

We are now beginning construction on a new heavy icebreaker for the Canadian government. The vessel will be constructed in Helsinki before being completed at Davie's shipyard in Quebec by 2030.

We are looking for a Business Analyst to support strategic steering and business development across Davie Shipyards in Finland, contributing to our substantial business growth targets. In this role, you will help transform complex data into actionable insights and support strategic processes that drive value across our entire organization.

Connecting our company vision to operational execution, your work will support Davie Finland’s top management and leadership teams by providing fact-based and future-proof insights that help steer our investments and development focus to the right things.

What will you focus on?

To succeed in this role, you ideally have:

• A relevant professional background:Early-career professional with someexperience, such as traineeshipsor entry-level roles,in Strategy, Business Intelligence,Finance,Consulting or similar
