Job summary
Finnair is seeking a SPARES SUPPLY LEAD for the 24/7 Material Helpdesk within the Material Operations organization. You will be the main 24/7 contact for internal stakeholders regarding material availability and AOG situations, coordinating between procurement, orders, transportation and receiving inspection.
The role requires experience in logistics/material handling and shift work, plus strong English skills.
Qualifications
- 3 years experience in logistics/material handling/AOG desk actions and/or aviation industry
- Knowledge in logistics/forwarding and spare part material handling
- Experience with Excel and MS Office tools
- Experience with AMOS is an asset
- Experience in shift work
- Good team spirit and cooperation skills
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Fluent English in writing and speaking
- Finnish is advantageous
- Valid Category B driving license
- Willingness to work 24/7 shifts
- Good coordination skills
- Vocational school or equivalent in aviation/logistics
Responsibilities
- Be the main 24/7 window towards MCC, aircraft maintenance, planning and other stakeholders on material availability & enquiries
- Monitor daily material requests and ensure parts and ETA information is available for internal stakeholders
- Liaise between internal stakeholders and operational material functions to ensure optimal material availability
- Perform proactive monitoring and steering of material inventory for short and mid-term demand
- Support ad-hoc, short term material ordering including AOG handling
- Coordinate transportation and customs arrangements and handle receiving inspection for ad-hoc materials
- Support outstations with operational material tasks in urgent situations
