GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) in the Helsinki‑Vantaa area is seeking a skilled Material Planner to coordinate material flow for jet engine repairs. You will work with Customer Support, Logistics, and Purchasing to ensure material availability for overhauls and repairs, plan parts, monitor inventory, and drive improvements in the supply chain.
This on‑site, permanent role sits in the Procurement team of 10 planners and purchasers.
We are looking for a Material Planner to manage and coordinate material flow for jet engine repairs at our rapidly expanding international company, GA Telesis Engine Services Oy (GATES), located at Helsinki-Vantaa International Airport.
In this role, you will work closely with our Customer Support, Logistics, and Purchasing teams, ensuring seamless material availability for jet engine overhauls and repairs. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory levels, addressing material delays, developing contingency plans, optimizing inventory utilization, and contributing to continuous improvements across the supply chain. You will become part of the Procurement team of 10 experienced material planners and purchasers who work together to solve complex challenges in a dynamic environment.
While this is primarily an office-based position, we value a hands‑on mindset and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem‑solving, including a willingness to visit the shop floor to investigate material‑related issues and identify opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.
Your technical background or previous experience in similar roles, coupled with a deep understanding of supply chain management concepts and proactive attitude, will make you the ideal fit. Fluency in reading manufacturers' technical manuals is a definite plus.
