Job summary
A leading research university in Spain is seeking candidates for a role focused on translational research to develop novel cancer therapies. Responsibilities include conducting preclinical studies, supporting lab organization, and performing molecular assays. Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with mouse models; FELASA certification required.
- Strong hands-on skills in molecular biology; experience with RNA techniques is highly valued.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in vivo preclinical studies, including generating and monitoring tumor xenografts.
- Perform molecular and cellular assays to characterize and validate novel RNA therapeutic targets.
- Support lab and project organization, including biobank maintenance and inventory management.
Skills
Education
- Conduct in vivo preclinical studies, including generating and monitoring tumor xenografts and administering RNA‑based treatments. Experience with colon orthotopic models is a strong advantage.
- Perform molecular and cellular assays to characterize and validate novel RNA therapeutic targets.
- Contribute to protocol optimization and development of new experimental approaches.
- Support lab and project organization, including biobank maintenance, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
- Science degree, technical diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience with mouse models (FELASA certification required).
- Strong hands‑on skills in molecular biology; experience with RNA techniques is highly valued.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and maintain accurate records.
- Good communication skills in English and a collaborative, solution‑oriented mindset.
