👋 About Us

At Givver, we’re on a mission to disrupt the payroll and HR industry. Say goodbye to slow, outdated, and cumbersome systems. We’re building a platform that empowers businesses to operate faster, smarter, and with greater clarity.

Using cutting‑edge AI, automation, and real‑time insights, Givver simplifies operations and eliminates headaches, freeing organisations to focus on what truly matters, empowering their people. We’re an early‑stage rocket ship on a trajectory to transform the industry, and we need bold, visionary builders to help us get there.

đŸ’Œ About the Role

We’re hiring a Payroll Manager (Contractor) in Spain to oversee accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for Givver’s customers. You’ll be the local expert, ensuring that all payroll operations adhere to national tax, social security, and employment regulations, while helping us deliver a modern, frictionless experience for employers and employees.

You’ll manage payrolls that include both local and expatriate employees, working directly with clients and collaborating with Givver’s internal teams to streamline processes, improve automation, and ensure quality.

This role starts at around 15–20 hours per month, with the potential for expansion as our client base grows.

  • Run end‑to‑end payrolls for Givver’s clients in Spain, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Process and validate payroll data including new starters, leavers, bonuses, deductions, and benefits.
  • Handle payrolls for both local and expatriate employees, coordinating cross‑border taxation and social security when relevant.
  • Prepare and submit statutory filings and reports to local authorities (e.g. tax offices, social insurance bodies).
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and maintain complete, audit‑ready documentation.
  • Collaborate with accountants, benefit providers, and government agencies to resolve queries.
  • Support the onboarding of new customers by advising on local setup and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Givver’s product and operations teams to identify areas for automation and improvement.
đŸ‘šđŸŽ€ What You Bring
  • 7+ years of payroll experience in Spain, ideally covering multiple clients or entities.
  • Strong understanding of local payroll legislation, tax systems, and social security regulations.
  • Experience managing expatriate or cross‑border payroll cases.
  • Proficiency with local payroll software (e.g. A3Nom, Sage, or Meta4) and electronic submission systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
  • Customer‑first mindset and enthusiasm for improving how payroll is delivered.
💚 Why Givver?
  • Flexible, remote freelance role with potential to grow as we scale.
  • Be part of a mission‑driven company transforming how payroll and HR are managed.
  • Collaborate with an international, product‑focused team shaping the future of local payroll delivery.
  • Direct impact and ownership in a growing European startup.
