We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager for the Quality & Environmental Team, reporting to the Quality & Environmental Director. This newly created role involves collaboration across departments such as Industrial, Sustainability, Purchasing, Marketing, R&D, and Legal.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop a deep understanding of regulatory requirements in the pet food industry. The role requires building and maintaining external relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement the Regulatory Cluster Roadmap for all operating countries and brands, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on projects and management decisions.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and regulatory subjects affecting the business.
- Develop and adapt regulatory strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Support strategic disputes, crises, and conflicts with regulatory authorities in collaboration with the legal department.
- Build relationships with regulatory stakeholders, self-regulatory groups, and industry associations.
- Provide regulatory guidance from product conception through artwork approval, integrating compliance early in the process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate compliance into product development.
- Align R&D, Quality Assurance, and Marketing with regulatory frameworks and business goals.
- Monitor ingredients regulations based on emerging business needs.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in regulatory affairs, ideally over 5 years in pet food, pharmaceuticals, or human food industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, biology, chemistry, veterinary science, or equivalent.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Strong business acumen, stakeholder engagement, and risk management skills.
