What are we looking for?

Senior Accountant with strong experience in financial and tax accounting, capable of thriving in dynamic and constantly evolving environments. The role will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting activities to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations, as well as legal and reporting requirements.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting processes, month-end closing, reconciliations, expense control, auditing, and reporting, along with the agility to develop and optimize processes, procedures, and tools that enhance operational efficiency within the department.

The challenge!

1. Perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
2. Monitor, carry out, and report the department’s accounting activities, including:
1. Reconciliation of intercompany balances.
2. Accounting of approved invoices and compensation entries.
3. Staff payroll registration and control.
4. Management of payments, cash outflows, and all types of expenses.
5. Registration of intra-company invoices and asset tracking.
6. Preparation and consolidation of information for internal and external audits.
7. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closings, ensuring proper account reconciliation and accurate financial information.
8. Prepare financial and accounting reports according to business needs, providing clear and structured information for decision-making.
9. Ensure that all accounting processes comply with the General Accounting Plan, internal procedures, and available computer systems (SAP or other ERP).
10. Ensure the update and reconciliation of accounting balances to meet legal and tax obligations.
11. Develop and optimize processes, procedures, and tools within the department to improve efficiency and optimize daily tasks.
12. Adapt to and manage unforeseen situations in a constantly changing environment.

What do you need?

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field.
2. Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role within fast-paced organizations.
3. Technical skills:
1. Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations.
2. Experience with accounting ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Navision, or others).
3. Knowledge of accounting closings, reconciliations, taxes, and audits.
4. Languages:
1. Native or advanced Spanish.
2. Intermediate-advanced English (B2 or higher), capable of communicating in a professional environment.
5. Skills:
1. Ability to adapt to changes and work under pressure.
2. Agility to develop and improve accounting processes.
3. Attention to detail and organizational skills.
4. Ability to work independently and in a team.
5. Advanced Excel.
6. Flexible start time from Monday to Friday (full-time).
