Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Lead Installation Engineer to drive the technical development of installation tooling and processes for onshore wind turbines. You will lead cross-functional teams from problem definition through on-site validation and hand-off to regional/global teams.

The role emphasizes safety, ergonomics, and end-user experience, with responsibilities spanning design reviews, supplier engagement, and field training of installation leaders and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• Familiarity with CAD and Finite Element Analysis.
• Ability to work with heavy components, cranes, and rigging in a hands-on environment.
• Willingness to travel globally up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Manage tooling development projects through the NPI process from concept through industrialization by executing design, prototyping, development, validation, and final documentation of Installation tooling.
• Lead a cross-functional core team to define requirements, develop concepts, and create technical specifications to guide mechanical design of tooling and processes.
• Engage with and manage suppliers to finalize design and manufacture the proposed technology.
• Utilize the design process to generate concepts that optimize the end user experience.
• Utilize systems thinking to understand the operations required to complete an installation and assess safety and ergonomics.
