Job summary

GE Vernova in Barcelona is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to support the safe and efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You will work across commissioning and service phases, guiding diagnostics and performance improvements.

You will read electrical schematics, use SCADA and digital monitoring tools, analyze data, and collaborate with site teams and engineering experts. Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20% are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication
• Willingness to travel up to 20%
• Fluent English and willingness to relocate to Barcelona

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and holidays
