Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations, based in Barcelona, Spain, to oversee safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You will detect, analyze, and resolve technical issues, collaborating with site teams and engineering experts to ensure turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot in the field.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; collaborative and proactive.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Spanish language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift with occasional on-call weekends and holidays.
