Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and support commissioning and service activities across lifecycle.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineers, analyze data for faults and improvements, and contribute to process optimization. Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical system experience
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting
• Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility
• Availability to travel up to 20%

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to support commissioning and service activities
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotation for weekends/public holidays
