Job summary

GE Vernova in Barcelona seeks a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in wind energy. You will monitor turbine performance, respond to alarms, and guide commissioning and service activities from a centralized hub.

Collaborating with site teams and engineering experts, you’ll diagnose issues, implement fixes, and drive continuous improvements to guarantee safe, reliable operations across the turbine lifecycle. Fluent English and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Fluent English; ability to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
