Job summary

GE Vernova operates a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to oversee offshore wind assets, monitoring turbine performance and diagnosing issues to keep operations safe and efficient. You will collaborate with site teams, analyze data, and support commissioning and service activities, contributing to continuous improvement across the lifecycle.

The ROC Technical Lead role requires hands-on wind energy experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and effective communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems in operations.
Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
Strong analytical and structured communication under pressure.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
Support reporting and communication of technical findings
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
