Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations based in Barcelona. You will monitor offshore wind assets from a remote operations center, support commissioning and service phases, and drive continuous improvement with site and engineering teams.

The role requires a engineering degree, wind energy experience, SCADA proficiency, and willingness to travel up to 20%. Fluent English and EU work eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems is required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
