Job summary

GE Vernova invites a ROC Technical Lead to join the Remote Operations Center for wind energy assets in Barcelona. You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and guide commissioning and service activities.

You’ll work with site teams and engineering experts to detect issues, analyze data, and drive reliable performance across the turbine lifecycle. The role requires an engineering degree, wind energy experience, and fluency in English, with travel up to 20% and EU work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operational environments.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and applying them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communications; calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
