Job summary

GE Vernova's ROC Technical Lead - Remote Operations Center (Wind) role is based in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbine performance from a remote hub, diagnose faults, and support commissioning and service activities to keep assets operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, has hands-on wind turbine experience, is fluent in English, can travel up to 20%, and is willing to relocate to Barcelona with EU work eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
