Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to ensure the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets. You will monitor performance, diagnose issues remotely, and support field teams across commissioning and service phases.

Ideal candidates bring wind turbine experience, strong analytical skills, and fluent English, with up to 20% travel and EU relocation eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
