Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations in Barcelona. You’ll support safe operation of offshore wind assets from a remote center, working with site teams to detect and resolve technical issues across commissioning and service phases.

You’ll analyze data, troubleshoot, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with engineering and support teams. The role includes travel up to 20%, requires English fluency, and relocation to Barcelona.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent wind-energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and structured technical communication under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time and relocate to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimization.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call rotations.
